ConsultationA consultation will be done over the phone. The clinician will collect information about your child, and use that information to decide what the next steps should be. Call or fill out the contact form to schedule a complimentary consultation.

EvaluationAn evaluation will formally asses speech, language, and feeding skills. The clinician will use case history, family history, formal and informal assessment tools, observation, and an oral-motor examination to determine current level of performance and areas needing improvement.

TherapyThe therapy sessions are used to target the areas that have been determined to need improvement. The therapist will use a comprehensive plan and a variety of techniques to build on the child's speech, language or feeding skills. Sessions can be scheduled for 30/45/60 mins.

PROMPTPROMPT is an acronym for Prompts for Restructuring Oral Muscular Phonetic Targets. It is a tactile-kinesthetic therapy program used to help the muscles used for speech develop the correct motor pattern. The clinician provides touch cues to the the client's articulators to manually guide them through a targeted word, phrase or sentence.
Parent TrainingThe Hanen More Than Words program was designed parents of children ages 5 and under on the autism spectrum and with other social communication difficulties. The program provides parents with everything they need to help their children reach their full communication potential.
Fluency/StutteringWe use a combination of parent coaching and direct therapy to help improve our clients fluency during speech. Our aim is to provide our clients with feedback on fluency and then provide them with strategies they can uses across environments to reduce stuttering.

Feeding TherapyA child's ability to eat may be impacted by a variety of things. We use a sensory-motor approach to feeding therapy to help encourage positive interactions with foods and to help develop oral motor skills for safe, effective and nutritive feeding.
Play-Based Language TherapyChildren learn through play! We used a child directed play-based model to help develop your child's social and language skills. We incorporate the interests of the child and at the same time challenge them to greater mastery of speech and language skills.
Augmentative or Alternative Communication (AAC)Some individuals with speech and language difficulties may benefit from the use of Augmentative or Alternative communication systems if speech is not clear. We evaluate individuals to determined which device would work best for them, and then help families and the individual to use the device for functional communication.
